After a game that we seemed to carry the bulk of the play and we played probably the best all round game of the season, I am left wondering how did we not win that game. Every one of the 12 players could have been chosen payer of the game. Our opponents got a few lucky bounces and made the most of the few chances we gave them. We had many great plays and saves from everyone tonight. Although we had just 3 goals, 8 different players recorded a point.
Scoring tonight were Cole Vipond, Travis Yake and Callum More. Kale Oldham earned player of the game award, making several defensive plays and a nice pass to set up our first goal.
We may not have won tonight, but we have proved that we can be competitive with any team. With the playoffs just 2 games away,we are playing our best hockey of the season heading into a tournament that we have all been looking forward to for weeks. Next stop - the Trent Canal and the Pete's/Gens game!
