Mite White Wins Against Durham Crusaders!!
On January 21st the Brock Wild Mite White team met up
with the second place Durham Crusaders whose only loss on the year was against
the #1 overall team.
Missing 3 of our key players (Rhys, Declan and Kashton) and facing one of the top teams in the league with a full roster, the expectations of the coaches and parents were not high.
The players however had other plans as they played one of the greatest team games I have seen all season.
Every player on the ice came back and played amazing defensively limiting the potent Crusaders to very few shots.
Jayvon scored 4 goals while several other players had some great chances. John, Nathan and Eric all had shots on goal while Owen and Garnet were stellar at getting the puck away from the Durham players.
Derek was outstanding on defense while Isaac was solid when called upon getting the Win in his season debut in goal.
Every player worked very hard helping get the puck out of our end and everyone did a great job at putting the puck up the boards and never in front of our own net.
We also saw several great passes.
Excellent effort boys! If we put in this kind of effort every game we are going to be a very hard team to beat going forward.
We are all very proud of you!! Keep up the good work!
Next game is Thursday January 26th in Beaverton against the Brock Wild Green team.
