The Brock Wild extended their win streak to 5 games with a dominate
win over the Millbrook Stars on Tuesday night.
This game was never in doubt as the Wild took control from the onset with an early goal by Adomeit less than 1 minute in.
The Wild would add another 7 unanswered goals as they would cruise to an 8-0 victory and improve their record to an impressive 8-2-0 after 10 games.
8 different players would register goals in this one. Payne, Mitchell, Birchard, Lo Presti, Farell, Totton and Cahoon would all score goals in addition to Adomeit as the scoring was well balanced from all 3 lines.
Our defense of Marshall, Underwood, Wilson, Totton and Haecker proved to be too much for the Millbrook offense as they were unable to mount much of an attack.
Pardy had a relatively easy night in goal as he posted his 3rd shutout of the season and 2nd in the past 3 games.
The Wild also had several close chances from Beatty and Haecker but the puck would just not go in for them. Parry provided some solid forechecking in the first 2 periods before switching to defense for the final period of play. Being the first time ever playing defense he did a solid job. Haecker took his spot at forward and came very close to scoring his first of the season.
Great work Wild!
The Wild will finish off the pre-holiday schedule with back to back games this weekend starting with a tough Lindsay White squad on Friday night and then the rematch with Millbrook on Saturday. Both games will be on the road.
With a win on Thursday night the Wild will regain their spot in the top 3 overall as they currently sit just 2 points back of Lindsay with 3 games in hand.
