Wild Battle back from Behind to Earn Tie vs Lindsay White! Improve to 2-0-1!
The Wild were back on the road again Thursday night as they played their 3rd game in as many nights this time against the always tough Lindsay White.

Lindsay White had swept us in the regular season by scores of 4-2 and 6-0 so the Wild were hungry return the favor for the playoffs!

This was a tight battle with both teams exchanging chances early.

Lindsay would get on the board first 4 minutes in as their star sniper would crash into the Pardy and take herself, Pardy and the puck into the net. Unfortunately, the goal would be allowed with no goaltender interference called on the play.

But the Wild came right back just 10 seconds later as Payne would carry it in deep and get the puck over to Birchard who would hammer it home to tie the game at 1-1.

Lindsay would come on hard for the last half of the first but Pardy was having a whale of a game in the Wild net stopping everything they could throw his way as the period would end 1-1.

In the 2nd after surviving a flurry in our own end would battle back as Cohoon would take a nice feed from Payne and fire a beauty into the Lindsay net to give the Wild a 2-1 lead.

The lead would hold through to the end of the period as Pardy continued to make several nice stops to keep the Wild ahead.

In the 3rd, Lindsay would continue to battle us hard and would strike 2 minutes in as Pardy would make 3 consecutive saves in close but Lindsay banged home the 4th shot to once again tie the game.

Less than 1 minute later, Lindsay would strike again. The Wild would cough it up in front of their own net sending 2 Lindsay attackers in all alone. Pardy made the 1st save but Lindsay followed up on the rebound and hammered it in to take 3-2 lead.

The Wild would settle things down and started putting pressure on the Lindsay defense as they tried to tie it up.

With 2 minutes to go the Wild would get the equalizer as Marshall would split the defense and get loose a beauty shot to beat the Lindsay net-minder and tie the game at 3-3.

Despite some nice chances in the last 2 minutes, the Wild just couldn’t bury another one as they had to settle for a 3-3 tie.

The point would keep the Wild in a 2 way tie for first place in the playoff standings with 3 games to go.

Another great team effort!

Our defense of Totton, Marshall,Wilson, Haecker and Underwood were solid once again against one of the top offenses in the league.

Our forwards played a strong 2 way game. With goals from Cohoon and Birchard, nice rushes by Payne, Lo Presti and Farell, hard checking by Mitchell and Adomeit and some nice battles in front of the net by Parry and Beattie, all 3 forward lines gave Lindsay all that they could handle.

Pardy was fantastic in goal once again for the Wild.

Next up the Wild take to the road again with their 3rd game in 4 days as they take on the Linday Teal in Lindsay.

Stay tuned!
