Wild Finish off Season Winning All 3 Games at OMHA Hockey Festival!
The Brock Wild Novice team travelled to Whitby this past weekend to take part in the OMHA Hockey Festival and came away undefeated with 3 big victories!

In the first game, the Wild took on the Colborne Firehawks. Despite outplaying the Firehawks for most of the 1st 2 periods, the Wild headed into the 3rd period with a slim 2-1 lead. But the Wild finally figured out the Colborne goalie in the 3rd and exploded for 4 goals enroute to a 6-2 victory.

The next day the Wild took on the Brighton Braves. This one was a much closer contest. The Braves would get the 1st goal of the game but that is all they would get as the Wild would score 3 unanswered goals and pull off a solid 3-1 win!

This set us up for our final game Sunday against the Stirling Blues. The Wild came out on fire in this one building up a demanding 7-1 lead by the midway point of the 2nd period! The Blues battled back late in the 2nd period and gave us a good fight in the 3rd but it was not enough as our Wild soared to a huge 10-4 victory!

The win capped off an amazing weekend for our Novice squad and was the perfect way to end a fantastic season.

With the 3 wins the Wild improved their overall season record to 17 Wins, 16 Losses and 1 tie! A truly remarkable achievement!

Most impressive on the weekend was the teamwork that we saw from every player, playing by far our best hockey all year with great passing, hard checking and a ton of hussle.

9 different players scored at least 1 goal in the 3 games and every player had a major contribution to each of the 3 wins.

Perhaps the greatest moments came in the final game as we saw Hudsy and Wild Bill each pick up their first career goals in the victory! Both players had been working extremely hard all season and were finally rewarded for their efforts with some beauty goals!

On behalf of the coaching staff, we cannot say enough about this amazing group of kids. We could not be any more proud of what they have accomplished this season.

Hoping all of the players had a lot of fun this year as I can certainly say that us coaches sure did! It was great working with all of the kids and seeing them develop into such a great team!

Also a big thank you to all of the parents for all of your hard work and commitment to making this team great. The kids could never have succeeded without all of your support. All year long we had amazing attendance at games and practices and the results showed on the ice as we continued to improve each and every game.

Great work everyone and I hope that everyone comes back again next season!
