After the close loss on the weekend, the boys were ready to show that they had what it took to beat the Thunder! Back and forth we went, but Sturgeon scored first. This didn't deter our boys, and Kay lit the lamp in response. Sturgeon snuck one past us, then Parker got his first of the night. With one second left, Kay beat the Tender for his second from a Blanchet feed to give us a 3-2 lead going into the second. Sturgeon wasnt giving up though and tied it again, before Nolan made a sprawling pass to B-rad out at the point, whose clapper went in to give us the lead again. We couldn't keep Sturgeon from tying it up before the period ended. A tense third period for Tuckers parents as Sturgeon blasted shots from all over, but he stood tall and held them out.
Finally, with 3 mins remaining, Parker gunned in his second off a feed from Kay of the night to lead our team to victory! It seems to have clicked for the boys, and we hope they can keep this great hockey going on Saturday against Kawartha. Card winners tonight were Chris, Hudson and Bradley.
