The Boys were back to Omemee for the second time in a week, and the return visit was exciting as the last time they were here! Missing a couple of our regulars, Chris and Cam filled in on 'D' and definitely had an impact on the game. Putting on the pressure early, Nolan's shot somehow made it through the goalie, but was sitting in the blue paint, and Josh just had to tap, tap, taparoo it in to open the scoring for the good guys! Some back and forth to finish the period, and it took us until midway through the second for Ian to break loose and finish the breakaway for our second tally of the game. Parker then managed to bulge the twine for our third unanswered goal of the game to lead 3-0 after two periods.
Our forwards had lots of break-away chances to score, but the Kawartha tender was on his game. Our boys were able to keep up the pressure in the third period, and Josh snagged the outlet pass on the sideboards and put it across to Nolan, who one-timed it for the tally! That completed the line hattie for those boys! Even with the big deficit, Kawartha wasn't discouraged when our boys took a bit of a mental break and allowed Kawartha to come in and get one back. Tucker once again had the pads on for us, and had a great game, while Eric helped his 'tendy partner out, chasing down a number of Kawartha break-aways to keep them to only one goal! Great game boys!
