Brock Minor Hockey Association is very fortunate to have so many volunteers that help make the sport of hockey an enjoyable one for all our players. Each year we ask that the membership nominate who they feel has left a lasting impression on Brock Minor Hockey and its members. This could be Coaches, Bench Staff, Executives and/or any other volunteer role within Brock Minor Hockey. Below are the Awards and specific criteria for each.

Bob Kirk Award - Referee of the Year

The Bob Kirk Award is given to the Referee of the year who demonstrates the dedication and betterment in officiating hockey. The award is given in memory of Bob Kirk who was a local referee who exemplified dedication, generosity and fair play to the game of hockey.

Frank Farrell Award - OMHA (REP. C) Coach of the Year

The Frank Farrell Award is given to the OMHA Coach of the Year. This award is given in memory of Frank Farrell who has made a generous contribution to player development and sense of fair play and dedication to the betterment of the sport in Beaverton Minor Hockey and the Ontario Minor Hockey Association.

Charlie Kirvan Award - Three County (Local League 'LL') Coach of the Year

The Charlie Kirvan Award is given to the Three County Coach of the year. This award is given in memory of Charlie Kirvan who refereed, coached and served on the executive for several years. This award is presented to the coach who has made a generous contribution to player development and sense of fair play and dedication to the betterment of the sport in Beaverton Minor Hockey and the Three County League.

Robb Gibson Award - Volunteer of the Year

Hockey volunteer of the year award recognizes outstanding contributions, involvement and service to Brock Minor Hockey. The Robb Gibson Hockey Volunteer recipient will have displayed commitment to the ideals of Brock Minor Hockey, have worked tirelessly for the improvement of the game and have made a notable impact on both the game and the players involved. This award is given in memory of Robb Gibson, who served many different positions on Brock Executives over the years and always went above and beyond to ensure the betterment of Brock Minor Hockey.
