U9-LL WHITE, U9, 2022-2023 (Brock Minor Hockey Association)

As the season winds down, it is quite often a time for reflection about how the season went, and I can say without a doubt, that it was a great one for everyone involved!  This was a combined team with Brock and Woodville players, and right from the start, the coaching staff could tell it was a great group of both Boys and parents. Everyone was so great, and it really made for a special year.  I wish we had a video camera of the first practice to show the boys now, so they can see how much each and everyone of them has improved so much since the beginning of the year. 

After their big win last weekend, the Boys had quiet week before heading into their final game of the season, and play they did! Right from the opening faceoff our boys were bombing around like they never had before. Ian and Hudson were flying and buzzing around like a couple of bees and creating chances like no other! Josh tapped one in quickly on the first shift of the game and we never looked back. By the end, Josh, Cameron, and Freddy all had single tallies, Parker lead the way with a 4 point night (3G, 1A) and Tucker not only earned the shut out, but got an assist on one of Parkers goals ...

The Boys made it to the Silver finals game today and it was a rematch vs West Carleton 2. As expected, it was a back and forth affair for the whole game. To open the scoring, Ian made a pass to Nolan, who put it over to Parker, who batted it in to take the lead! This lasted until part way through the 2nd, when West Carleton managed to sneak one by us. Back and forth we went, with so many chances on the doorstep for us, but we just couldn't tap one in. After a pizza lunch back at the hotel, the Boys were back in action against the second West Carleton team. This game went a little differently though as we found ourselves in a hole after the first two periods being down 2-1 to this team, with Parker converting the lone tally for us, with Kay making the pass. The third period was a tight battle for the puck, until the 7 minute mark when Nolan scored to tie the game! After a disappointing loss yesterday to the host team, the boys woke up refreshed for their game today! Wanting to find a little more scoring after getting shutout yesterday, the Boys found their scoring touch early, and overwhelmed their opponent with a barrage of goals. Nolan led the way with a hat trick! Parker, Kay, Freddy, and Bradley got two a piece, and Ian and Cam found the back of the net once. Chipping in with assists were Parker, Freddy, Ian, Cam, Blanchet, and Chris. Great sportsmanship was shown by our boys in a big win, and despite the big range of score, the boys continued to ...
