After yesterdays blowout, the boys looked to continue their winning ways in Sturgeons home barn. They didn't come out as on fire as they did yesterday, with Sturgeon getting the lead in the first minute of play. They held that lead for the whole period until Toggy converted a nice outlet pass from Allison to knot the score before the end of the first. Footie worked some of his magic early in the second, converting a rebound from Dougie, giving us the lead! Unfortunately, Sturgeon scored two before the end of the period, seeing us go into the break in a hole. Some hard, back and forth play with our kids playing their butts off with tonnes of chances, their goalie with some extremely lucky saves, including a glove save that he never even saw, sealed our fate.

Looking to rebound after a tough loss on wednesday night, the boys came out pumped right from the start of the game. It was one of those games where we could do no wrong, and everything was clicking. A flurry of shots (15) in the first 10 mins of the game, saw Bryden convert a nice pass from MacLeish to give us the lead. That was only the tip of the iceberg, as the boys kept shooting and Toggy (2), MacLeish, Gregson and Bryden with his second of the game, showed that Sturgeon didnt have an answer for us when we keep hustling and moving the puck. Then, in the third, came an awesome moment, when Austin Norris, confidently stepped into a puck coming out to him at the point and fired a laser to score his first goal of the year! Congrats boys on a great effort today!

A slow start in Fenelon found us in an early hole that we couldn't quite dig ourselves out of. Sturgeon had 2 on the board in the first, before Toggy broke our doughnut with a nice goal early in the second. Sturgeon then scored two more before the end of the period, which kept our boys back on their heels. We woke up in the third though, after the flood. We found our game again, refinding our fore check that Sturgeon just couldn't handle. This lead to Gregson getting two in the third, his whole line fore checking furiously and getting the puck to him to bang in from the crease. There was a  frenzy of goal mouth stands in the Sturgeon crease where a couple of better bounces would have won us the game, but it just didnt happen for us tonight.

Away to Norwood to hopefully close out the series, the Boys had an air of optimism around them as they hit the ice! On their first shift of the the game, a pretty passing play by Dougie and Footie go the puck to Malcolm who buried it to give us the early lead. Thanks to Toggy and TP, we had a 3-1 lead at the end of the first. Despite the chippiness of the other team, our Boys kept adding to the lead in the second with Toggy, TP and Malcolm with his second of the game, to give us a 6-2 lead at the end of the 2nd. The big guns fired off again in the third with Footie, Toggy, TP and MacLeish adding to our lead and getting the win! Congrats to Toggy and TP with the hatties tonight. Way to step up Boys and bring on the next series!

After a slight weather intermission, the Boys hit the ice last night hoping to repeat Saturdays performance. Norwood was a little more ready for us, and they scored the only goal of the 1st period on a pp opportunity. Some more tense play in the second with Norwood trying to preserve the lead, and us trying to cut into it. Footie and Dougie connected to tie the game on a pp opportunity of our own, and then Toggy worked his magic with Kartsy to get the lead going into the third. After the flood, Kartsy went to the net and buried a rebound to give us a 3-1 lead 12 secs in. Another 10 mins passed before TP was able to bury one off a nice dangle to give us the three goal lead. Norwood got a late one before the Birthday Boy Benny G finished the scoring and helped preserve the lead!
