Playoff Game 1 - At Mariposa
Playing later on a Sunday seems to suit the 'Bys pretty good as we started the playoffs with a 9-3 beating of Mariposa in the opener. Tense first period, as Mariposa scored on their first shot of the game, before Mavy connected with Swizz, who buried it, to tie it at one. Mariposa scored again a few minutes later to take the lead but Brock tied it again with Mavy and Toggy getting the helpers, which is how the first period ended 2-2. The floodgates opened in the second though, as Sammy, TP, and Swizz all scored unanswered goals to take a 5-2 lead into the third. Mavy got two (ended the game with 5 points), and Sammy completed his Hat Trick to round out the scoring in the third. Forwards were dominate on the forecheck and that made a big statement for the first game of the series.
