Brock vs Lindsay White - January 28th
On Saturday January 28th the Brock Wild travelled to Lindsay to take on the always tough Lindsay Muskies White squad.

Despite a strong effort the boys came up a little short in a tough 3-2 loss.

The boys started out quickly as Wilson made a great rush and beat the Lindsay goalkeeper to take an early 1-0 lead.

But the Muskies came right back making a nice deke to slide one past Underwood just one minute later to tie the game at 1. The teams would battle back and forth until late in the period when the Muskies would get another lifting a high shot over the pad of Underwood to take a 2-1 lead heading into the 2nd.

The second period was very tight with both teams playing hard defensively.

Giguere would tie us up early in the 2nd picking up a deflection off a Wilson wrister and blowing it past the Lindsay netminder.

But midway through the period the Muskies would strike back with a beauty blast into the top right corner that Underwood had no chance to stop to take back the 1 goal lead heading into the 3rd.

Despite battling hard in the 3rd to get the tying marker the boys were unable to get one into the net and came up short losing the game 3-2.

Dowswell and Yerema played excellent on defense all game picking up for the absence of the Underwood-Haecker duo while Oke and Benge were also fierce defensively keeping the puck out of our end and creating several turnovers.

Mitchell and Howell had some nice rushes while Dewsbury, Bugg and Parry did some solid forechecking.

It was also noted that everyone did an excellent job avoiding offsides.

Stay tuned for the update on the last of the 3 game weekend versus the Lindsay Teal.

Keep up the hard work boys!
