What a difference 24 hours can make. Tonight's game was the polar opposite of the night before. After falling behind by 2 less than a minute in, our side didn't give up. A goal by Caden Birchard late in the first period swung the momentum our way. The ice seemed tilted in the second as we potted 6. Cole Vipond scored to tie the game at 2 on a shift where he dominated the opposition. Travis Yake converted a pass from Campbell Ellis to give us the lead - a lead that we would never give up.
That's when Callum More blew the game wide open with a natural hattrick scoring 3 times in just 1:15! After Sturgeon tried to mount a comeback with 2 quick goals to narrow the lead to 6-4, Caden Birchard notched his second of the game to swing the game back in our favour. The eighth Brock goal was buried by Campbell Ellis off a sweet "no-look" backhand pass from Travis Yake. Bryden Parliament rounded out the scoring in the 9-4 win. Wyatt Beattie also played a strong game collecting assists on both of Caden's goals. Player of the game was Callum More with 3 goals and an assist. An excellent effort from all players!
