The Wild Roar as They Silence the Thunder
Today's game was Atom White's best game of the year! We dominated this game from start to finish. We limited the opposition to just a few shots on goal and only 1 or 2 real chances - one of which was a diving save with the catching glove. Liam "The Iron Curtain" Flood kicked aside every shot that came his way to earn his first career shutout! The referees also played a part in this one as they called a total of 15 minor penalties and keeping the game from getting out of hand. Bryden Parliament got the party started on a nice end to end rush just 39 seconds in to give us the lead.

Cole Vipond sniped his first of 2 with less than 3 minutes left in the first period, burying a juicy rebound from a point shot off the stick of Farmer McLeod. Cole continued his strong play in the second period, driving to the net off the right wing with a low shot that the Thunder goalie kicked out to Callum More who fired the puck home for a 3-0 lead.
Heading to the third period, we instructed the team that defence was first - preserve the shutout. And preserve it we did. Cole Vipond rounded out the scoring with his second of the game with just 1:24 left.
This was a hard fought, well played game by everyone but player of the game honours went to Cole Vipond with his 2 goals and an assist.
