Tykes Battle Hard in Loss to Kawartha Reds!
On Thursday the Brock Wild were home to host the unbeaten Kawartha Red Coyotes.  The Kawartha Red Coyotes came into this one undefeated while scoring over 11 goals per game. The team battled hard all game but unfortunately were just not able to match the high skill level of the Coyotes as they suffered a 12-0 loss.

Despite the score there were a lot of positives to take from the game.

Each player despite the score worked hard and never got down on themselves or gave up. Right to the final buzzer the team played hard on the puck and showed great character.

The Coyotes squad had some very skilled players who could really shoot the puck and were able to put the puck into the top of the net, but our goalie Blake, continued to work hard and made a lot of nice saves never letting the score get to him.

Although the score showed 12-0, the Wild can be very proud of the effort.

The Wild came very close to breaking the shut-out late in the game with Malcolm winning a race and then sending a nice pass out front to Parry but Parry just missed the net as the Coyotes goalie gave a huge sigh of relief.

The Wild had several other nice chances but just could not get one into the net despite a strong effort.

All 9 forwards consisting of Malcolm, Parry, Slama, Pearce, Stewart, Giles, Smith, Payne and Davidson worked hard all game at both ends of the rink.

Our defense of Cresanto, Kirkos, Benge and Lynch did their very best to block shots and clear the zone and made some nice plays.

Our goalie Brock, made some very nice saves and continued to work hard all game.

Overall a great effort but a truly unfortunate result. Borden Davidson was awarded the Ferell Player of the Game for his hard work ethic. Borden also switched from forward to defense mid game in order to help kill a penalty.

One thing is for certain, this team has a ton of heart and character and continue to show signs of improvement with each and every game.

We may not have a win yet, but it is coming for sure if we keep working hard and continue to improve.

Good work Wild.

The Wild will now enjoy a break in the schedule as they do not play their next game until December 23rd vs the Kawartha White Coyotes.

The Wild will have 3 more practices including a 2 hour one on Saturday before our next game so we are certain that they will be roaring to go for the 23rd.
