Beattie Scores! Wild Crush Lindsay Teal to Remain in 1st Place!
The Wild continued their busy post-season with their 4th game in 5 days against the Lindsay Teal on Saturday afternoon.

The first period was a little sluggish as both teams were showing signs of the wear and tear of the post season.

Both teams did have some nice chances but both goalies were sharp as the 1st period would come to an end with neither team getting on the scoreboard.

The 2nd period started a little feisty as 2 Lindsay defenders tried to take liberties on Payne in front of the Lindsay net. Payne would battle them both however showing Lindsay that the Brock Wild are tough as nails and not to be messed with. Unfortunately, only one Lindsay player was penalized on the play.

A few minutes later the Wild would strike. Lo Presti made a beauty rush into the Lindsay zone and fired a rocket through the 5-hole to give the Wild a 1-0 lead.

This gave our Wild the energy boost they needed as they would really turn it on over the second half of the period.

The Wild would continue to put intense pressure on the Lindsay defense deep in their zone and would be rewarded as Payne would pound one home with just over 2 minutes left to extend the Wild lead to 2.

Just 1 minute later, the Wild would pounce again. This time it was Adomeit with a beauty wraparound to give the Wild a commanding 3-0 lead heading into the 3rd.

The Wild would continue to keep the pressure on in the 3rd. Then with one minute remaining Wyatt Beattie would go to the net hard with his stick down and hammer home a beauty one timer for his first goal of the season! Beattie had come very close all season long and all of the hard work finally paid off in the post season when the games matter most.

Lo Presti would add one more for good measure as the Wild would cruise to an impressive 5-0 victory!

Lindsay Teal was just no match for our big 5 on defense (Totton, Haecker, Marshall, Underwood and Wilson) or for our superstar goalie Pardy.

Our forwards after a slow start came on hard in the 2nd and 3rd and completely overwhelmed the Lindsay defense.

The Wild had nice goals by Adomeit, Lo Presti and Payne and a beauty by Beattie and also had some very nice offensive rushes by Farell and Mitchell.

Cohoon and Birchard had a lot of nice chances down low and each battled hard in the corners while also making some nice passes.

Parry also had a solid game, with some nice clearing plays out of our end and a couple nice scoring chances in front.

Pardy made a lot of difficult saves to preserve his 6th shut-out of the season and 2nd of the playoffs!

The win along with a Lindsay White victory over Durham kept the Wild in a 2 way tie for 1st place with 2 games to go.

Next up was a rematch with the Durham Crusaders on Tuesday night in Beaverton. More details to come!

Way to go Wild!!
