Thunder Stuck
Friday's game had us heading into Fenelon Falls, looking to avenge the 1-0 loss at the beginning of the new year. We got off to a quick start with several chances on the first shift but just couldn't beat the Sturgeon net minder. That theme would continue throughout the game with our side carrying the play and getting the majority of the scoring chances. But we couldn't convert even one chance while our opponents were able to get 3 as well as the benefit of several quick whistles from the zebras.
This was the first penalty free game our team has had since early November - a small victory but I'll take it. Having a strong game were Cole Vipond and Bryden Parliament at centre and Grace Totton on defence. Our player of the game however, was Aron Barnett who had a second outstanding game in a row while filling in on defence.
