And 3 bones too! In typical Brock White fashion, we start well, lag in the middle and come from behind in another exciting finish to a game. The Badger (Bobby Payne) opened the scoring by finishing some hard work from his line mates, Cole Vipond and Campbell Ellis. This line dominated the play in the first period with several other chances and some great back checking from Cole.
In the second period, we let the Crusaders back in the game and eventually take the lead heading into the third.
Early in the third, The Bulldog jumped on a loose puck that was a shot from Bryden Parliament that deflected off Wyatt Beattie's helmet and tied the game at 2. I've been asking for more passing and that's using your head Wyatt!
After giving back the lead with just 4:22 left in the game, the Bulldog capitalized on another loose puck and knotted the score at 3. The final blow came with just 37 second on the clock, when Travis deflected a shot from Bryden to seal the victory and complete the hattrick.
All four defencemen were stellar in front of Liam Flood, who made several excellent stops in earning the win. Special thanks to Aron Barnett for filling in on defence and showing his versatility.
The player of the game was the Bulldog - Travis Yake, with his second hattrick of the season.
