The Wild Out Shine The Stars
Having lost to Millbrook just 2 days earlier in a game that we played well (for 26 minutes and 30 seconds), we agreed to stick to the same game plan - minus the 3 1/2 minute nap. We did just that. We fore-checked hard, we back-checked even harder and we collected the paycheck - a well deserved 4-2 win!

Bryden Parliament opened the scoring after collecting a loose puck from a great defensive play by Kale Oldham. After Millbrook tied the game early in the second, the Bulldog potted his first of 2. The Rhino (Aron Barnett), back on left wing after filling in on defence for a couple of games, buried a hard low shot from the slot just inside the post to give us a 3-1 lead heading into the final frame.
Flashing back to the pregame chat, Farmer had asked if he could play wing on Coles line. I agreed, provided that the score was 3 goals ahead or behind. Flash forward back to the third period and the Bulldog's second goal that gave us a 4-1 lead. Travis agreed to play the rest of the game on defence to let Farmer play forward. We may see more of these requests for change during the tournament this weekend.
This was an all-round team effort where it was difficult to find areas for criticism.
Player of the game honours went to the Iron Curtain (Liam Flood) with another outstanding game in net.
